Nils Hallvard Korsvoll and Marte Cecilie Wilhelmsen Solheim are the new lead duo in The Young Academy of Norway.

The Young Academy of Norway is an interdisciplinary organization for young researchers dedicated to research policy and dissemination. The Young Academy of Norway promotes science and shaping the knowledge-based society of the future.

At the general assembly and autumn gathering held in Tromsø, Norway in October, 2022, a new board and new leaders were elected, Korsvoll as the leader and Solheim as the deputy leader.

Will use the power of the network to achieve success for younger researchers

“The Young Academy of Norway is an organization rich in diverse expertise and member resources. We will facilitate and promote knowledge, initiative and work from and among the members. In these troubling times, we want to facilitate that the members of the academy will work together to strengthen the voice the academy has taken in Norwegian research policy and communication. In that way, we wish to work for breakthroughs in matters of great importance to younger researchers”, the new leading duo say.
